Gay Christian Mingle Spoof Ad Goes Viral (VIDEO)

Christian Mingle, the ridiculous dating site that helps Christians find their God-chosen mate, is notoriously anti-gay. Are things looking up for gay Christians who are seeking “God’s Match” for them? Not likely. But the Funny or Die website has created a hilarious spoof of one of Christian Mingle’s stupidest advertisements: dancing in the kitchen.

 


The original over-the-top-corney Christian Mingle ad:

The Christian Mingle site says that they will help you find “God’s Match for You,” so that should include gay and lesbian Christians, right? Or are gay Christians destined to be single pending the Lord un-gaying them with the Church’s help? Well, a verse from Psalms — which is on the homepage of ChristianMingle.com?–?says this:

Delight yourself in the LORD and he will give you the desires of your heart. Psalms 37:4

Of course, surely the Bible didn’t mean the desire for family and a help-meet that GAY Christians might have…

While it has been reported the the?rip-off?site has been?used by gay folks looking for a mate, the Christian Mingle stance is definitely “no gays allowed,” and a petition demanding the the site change it’s homophobic stance fell flat earlier this year. The corresponding Facebook page never quite took off, either. Certainly, Christian Mingle tries to make it impossible for gay folks to find “God’s Match” for themselves on their site. Here are the options:

Since the efforts to de-homophobe Christian Mingle have were ineffective, it could be that gay people just don’t care and don’t want to be where they’re not wanted. They’re doing find on their own.
