Corbett’s Insincere Apology After Comparing Marriage Equality To Incest (VIDEO)

Tom Corbett (R ? Gov, PA) has been a thorn in the side of many Pennsylvania residents, but none more so than the LGBT community. Gov. Corbett is a master at putting his foot in his mouth and only taking it out to re-insert said foot once he opens his mouth again. Gov. Corbett has said many things regarding the LGBT community, especially when it comes to marriage equality, but most recently he has made some degrading and despicable remarks when it comes to ?allowing? gay couples to get married.

Some counties in Pennsylvania are allowing gay couples to marry since the ruling from the Supreme Court striking down DOMA (Defense Of Marriage Act). By doing so, the counties have been sued by the Corbett administration claiming the state law forbids gay couples from marrying.?From?Politico:

??[Corbett?s] lawyers made in a recent court filing, comparing the marriage of gay couples to the marriage of children because neither can legally marry in the state.?

Gov. Corbett then went on a local Harrisburg, PA TV station, WHP-TV, to make an apology regarding those statements. Even though people knew the apology was forced, they never expected to hear what Gov. Corbett said next.

“It was an inappropriate analogy, you know. I think a much better analogy would have been brother and sister, don’t you?”

No, Governor Corbett, we the people do not think that is a ?better? analogy. That analogy only furthered Gov. Corbett’s and the Republican Party’s downfall on the issue of marriage equality.
