9 Crazy Tea Party Incidents Nov. 21, 2013 Edition

The Tea Party crazy train has been operating at full-bore this week.? Sometimes it is hard to keep up with the lunacy they promote throughout this great land that we all love.? Wish it could be said that the Teabully crowd loves American’s as much as they claim to love and honor America and our Constitution.? So here we go with this week’s list in Crazy Tea Party Incidents.

1) In the ?can you hear me pandering now? department, we start off this week’s list with Liz Cheney, daughter of former Vice President Dick Cheney, who has left her longtime home in the Washington, D.C. area to run against the very Conservative and long time Republican U.S. Senator from Wyoming, Mike Enzi.

Running as far as she can to the right of Senator Enzi in her effort to curry favor with the Teabully base of Republican primary voters in Wyoming,?Liz Cheney?has thrown her sister, Mary Cheney,?under the bus, reversing her previous position, and proclaiming her opposition to same-sex marriage.? The speculation is that candidate Liz Cheney was responding to an October commercial run against her in Wyoming, suggesting that she was?soft on the issue?of same-sex marriage, and the position now being taken by Ms. Cheney is contrary to the long time public position of her parents, Dick and Lynne Cheney.? Family Feud, the Cheney Edition, is on.

It isn’t easy to get to the right of Senator Enzi, who through 2011 was rated as the?fourth most Conservative Senator?by the NationalJournal.com, and this Cheney family feud has recently expanded to include former Wyoming Republican U.S. Senator, Alan Simpson. Simpson, who openly criticizes Republicans for being?anti women and homophobic,?is supporting Senator Enzi. Now, Senator Simpson is feuding with the Cheney’s, and has criticized Dick and Liz Cheney for destroying friendships and destroying ?Family relationships?because of this race.”

2) Last week we here at LiberalAmerica.org, ran a Special?Texas Edition?of Tea Party Incidents.?But Texas is back on this week’s list with a cornucopia of crazy stuff that we just can’t ignore.? You just can’t keep those Texans down.

Take the planned, but later canceled, ?Catch An Illegal Immigrant??event that the Young Conservatives of Texas was planning at the University of Texas in Austin. The event was being organized by the?former field director for Greg Abbott. Greg Abbott is the current Texas Attorney General?and candidate for Governor to replace the outgoing Republican Governor of Texas, Rick ?Oops? Perry.

Fortunately, the public outcry must have been too much bad publicity for the Young Conservatives of Texas and for the Gregg Abbott gubernatorial campaign to withstand, so the event got canceled. Greg Abbott weighed in after cancellation of the event blaming the failed policies of the Obama administration for the current influx of illegal immigrants in Texas.? That would be the same administration that has been deporting illegal immigrants?faster than the Bush Administration,?and which?continues to aggressively deport?illegal immigrants. Abbott also suggested that his opponent for the Governorship, Texas State Senator Wendy Davis, is?supported by Satan.

Did the devil wear pink running shoes?

3) Also in Texas, the state is refusing to process benefits, as directed by the Pentagon, for same-sex couples?serving in the National Guard.?Neighboring Mississippi is refusing to issue applications for benefits for same-sex couples through their State offices, and, as reported here in LiberalAmerica.org,?Oklahoma has stopped paying?all couples serving in the National Guard spousal benefits?so that they won’t have to pay the benefits to same-sex couples.

Proof once again how the Teabully crowd has just a fake and fleeting love and support for the military.

Of course hateful delusions coming from the Teabully crowd directed to same-sex couples is everywhere these days sprouting like Midwestern tornadoes in November. Did you know that the deadly tornadoes that struck Illinois earlier this week might just have to be?blamed on the same-sex marriage?law that just went into effect in Illinois?

The American Society for the Defense of Tradition, Family, and Property, is just asking a question but the idea that homosexuality is responsible for a string of recent rural natural disasters is laid out in an article entitled ?Is the?Voice of God?Resounding in the Recent Catastrophes??

Perhaps, this is why the Republican Party/Teabully Congress has no problem immediately rushing federal assistance to rural Red State areas hit by tornadoes, but when hurricanes strike the more Blue State areas they find reasons why aid must be both delayed and offset.

4) Staying in Texas from the 1st District, is the ever entertaining equivalent to the soon to be shown the door Rep. Michele Bachmann (R-MN), Republican Rep. Louie Gohmert.? This guy all by himself is a walking and talking, daily edition of Texas Teabully crazy.

Gohmert has out done himself on the floor of the House of Representatives to:

?Condemn President Obama?for not utilizing Old Testament prophecy as a guiding force for Middle East policy, and then warned of the dire consequences of America siding with Israel’s enemies.?

Gohmert has also condemned the ongoing peace negotiations with Iran, which LiberalAmerica.org, has?previously covered. I wonder, was congressman Gohmert at that President George W.?Bush speaking engagement?last week with those end of days folks?

5) Teabully favorite, Republican U.S. Senator Ted Cruz from Texas gets back onto the Crazy list this week.

Senator Cruz claimed in an interview to Newsmax Nov. 16, 2013 that:

?One of the most troubling aspects of the Obama administration is, aside from their radical policies, the way they’ve implemented it has sadly been?lawless.?

Senator Cruz went on to say:

?We have never seen a president behave like President Obama, who believes he can just pick and choose: He’ll enforce this law, not enforce another law.?

Now, I know that Senator Cruz is in his first and possibly last term as a U.S. Senator, but really, Senator Cruz has been in the United States since moving from Canada when he was 4 years old.? Could he have possibly forgotten our last president and fellow Texan by the name of George W. Bush?

6)We all remember former Governor Mitt Romney (R-MA) who ran for president against President Obama who had a platform based on repealing ObamaCare and a hollow promise to replace it with what turned out to be nothing.? We also remember Mitt’s wife, Ann Romney.? Well, on Nov. 18, 2013, Ann Romney appeared on CNN’s New Day to promote her new book, but she also had this to say, lamenting that her husband would have:

?…been a wonderful president, so it’s a frustration for me to see all that’s going on right now and know that it would have been different if he had been there.?

Mrs. Romney believes that if only Mitt had been elected, the economy would be in better shape and Mitt would have done?a much better job?with the rollout of ObamaCare.

Perhaps, if Mitt Romney had been elected president the Republican obstruction machine that has been inhibiting a more robust economic recovery, while blocking the implementation of the ACA every step of the way, would not have been engaged?? Suppose Mitt Romney had been elected president and then he made an about-face to support the ACA, much the same as he done with RomneyCare in Massachusetts. Would the right-wing be attacking him as they are now attacking President Obama for the cancellation of junk insurance policies as a promise that Mitt did not keep?

7) This is so dumb it is almost embarrassing.? Fox?& Friends co-host, Elisabeth Hasselbeck, previously said that the plan behind ObamaCare was to get insurance companies to cancel their substandard plans:

?…to?squeeze everyone out?of their existing plans, to squeeze insurance companies so they have an option to cut and run from the American people?and put everyone into the system.?

So, if insurance companies must cancel their junk policies forcing people to have new, ACA compliant insurance policies, sold to them by medical insurance companies, in what way would that force insurance companies out of their business?

Elisabeth Hasselbeck

Yesterday, when discussing Medicare Advantage, an insurance program for those aspects of health care for seniors that Medicare does not cover, and the announcement by United Health Care that thousands of doctors have been dropped from its Medicare Advantage program, Fox & Friends blamed this on ObamaCare ,and suggested that included in the mix of people losing their doctors:

?Many of those people are women who are expecting babies and who may just have a real relationship with their physician and want to see the same doctor deliver possibly their second child. And they are now left in the dark in a time that they feeling quite vulnerable.?

You got that America?? Elisabeth Hasselbeck is concerned about women 65 years and over, who will no longer be able to keep their obstetricians, so no more babies for them.? Someone alert Planned Parenthood and warn them that they should now start expecting millions of elderly women seeking abortions.? I wonder if Ms. Hasselbeck would be pleased to learn that millions of previously uninsured women of child-bearing age will now be able to receive health care before, during, and after their pregnancies as a result of ObamaCare.

8) Then there is Michele?Bachmann who falsely claims?that she has lost her health care because of ObamaCare?and her husband’s pre-existing condition.? Sorry, Congresswoman Bachmann, but that can’t be true.

As a currently employed United States congresswoman, you are offered a choice of different health insurance options, all of which would cover your spouse, gay or straight, without reference to any pre-existing condition.? Also, under the new Affordable Care Act, otherwise known as ObamaCare, no insurer can deny coverage for a pre-existing condition.?Since Rep. Bachmann has been in Congress since 2007, she probably did vote with the Republicans to continue her fully federally funded congressional medical benefits and retirement package available to all after five years of service.

Bachmann also claims that the predictions by her and other Republican’s about the difficulty of the ACA HealthCare.gov website has made her and other Republican seditionists?look like geniuses.

Really? Is there anything that could make this woman look like anything close to competent?? The video of the good congresswoman blabbering on about losing her medical benefits is hereby submitted into evidence.

9) In a previous edition of Tea Party Crazy, we told you about the seditionist Reclaim America Now Coalition headed up by?Larry ?The Crazy Guy? Klayman.?Well, good news for the Department of Justice who won’t have to work very hard to track down the participants.? It seems that only about 100 people answered the call for the beginning of this, the?Second American Revolution, and bothered to show up at the Reclaim America Now Coalition rally on Nov. 19, 2013. ?Take heart, it was a much better turnout than the 30 drivers who turned out for the ?Truckers To Shutdown America? protest that failed to materialize last month.

Perhaps, the Teabully movement isn’t as populist as the puppeteers who are behind the scenes pulling the strings of their members would like the country to believe.
