There have been nationwide protests since the Grand Jury didn’t indict Officer Wilson last week. The four representatives in Congress who stood up are Hakeem Jeffries, Yvette Clarke, Sheila Jackson Lee, and Al Green clarified that their expression was to show their outrage over Brown’s killing. Jeffries said:

??Hands up, don’t shoot? is a rallying cry of people all across America who are fed up with police violence in ? communities all across America.?

According to Green:

?I saw this clip where the Rams players came into the arena: ?Hands up; don’t shoot? ? this has become the new symbol, a new statement.?

Referring to a system where the police has a negative sentiment towards black people, Green added:

?I want to make sure that those who participated on the Rams team, that their names are chronicled in history? I want Kenny Britt to be recognized, Tavon Austin to be recognized, Stedman Bailey to be recognized, Jared Cook, Chris Givens, and Tre Mason.?

This ?Hands up, don’t shoot? act is seemingly inspired from the one where five St. Louis Rams players protested in the same manner. The Police asked them for an apology after mentioning that it was ?inflammatory?.

Morning Joe host?Joe Scarborough said??It’s a lie.?

?What is wrong with this country? What is wrong with these people? What’s wrong with these elected officials, they know it’s a lie. They know the cops didn’t shoot him with his hands in the air. They know it’s a lie and they’re doing this on that Capitol floor? Unbelievable ? boy that would really be moving if that were the truth.?

The ?Hands up, don’t shoot? thing is what every black man is taught to save himself from police brutalities.
