GOP Idiot Attacks Beyoncé While Spewing Racial Ignorance

The string of out-of-touch white people affiliated with Fox News who are obsessed with bashing Beyonc? continues to grow.

We have already seen outlandish comments by former Governor and presidential hopeful Mike Huckabee. Huckabee has said that Jay Z is “pimping” out Beyonc? because of their sexual Grammys performance of Drunk in Love. That’s why we are so thankful for Jon Stewart of The Daily Show for putting Huckabee in his place.

See, Huckabee wants to pretend like Beyonc? is such a bad role model, yet Jon played a clip of [racist/pedophile-in-thought] Ted Nugent singing explicit lyrics on his Fox show. WHAT A HYPOCRITE!!! You go Jon!

But now, resident Fox nuisance Bernie Goldberg has also shared his thoughts on Queen B. This week in an interview with Bill O’Reilly, Bernie said that:

?Liberals would rather drink Drano and walk on broken glass than come off as uncool or square or prudish especially when it’s about sex. So they won’t align themselves with social conservatives even when social conservatives have a legitimate point and the fact that Beyonce is black is not irrelevant either.?

The? fact that these out-of-touch old white men keep speaking on blacks and how WE feel, how WE should act, shirts WE should wear, is insulting.

Secondly, there ARE black people who take some issue with Beyonc?’s songs and do not let their children listen to every single thing she has ever released. On the whole though, Beyonc? is often considered to be the?most talented artist of our generation.

Newsflash Huckabee and Goldberg! This isn’t just a black person thing. Many think Beyonc? is super talented and a role model. The entertainment industry is in love with her. This is just a reality. Beyonc? would not be as insanely popular as she is now if she only appealed to the black community.

Goldberg is insinuating that liberal blacks will support anything bad regardless? just because they are black. This is not true. Just read the numerous social media slams thrown at President Obama for not mentioning black lives matter in his State of the Union speech. Many blacks can and will critique “one of our own” if we feel it is necessary. He is also implying that conservatives try to be hush-hush about sex and sexuality. This may be true, but it doesn’t mean they don’t have huge problems when it comes to “morals.” Shall we list the multitude of sex scandals involving the Republican party? Just because you “preach” prudency and “family values” doesn’t make you better and certainly doesn’t mean you live it.

Herein lies a huge problem I have with these conservative critiques. Beyonc? is more than sexy. Sure, these old bags probably can’t see anything else, but it is true. Beyonc? has done a lot for women’s empowerment. She has worked with charities to promote girls’ education for example. At one point, Huckabee in his The Daily Show interview implied that girls would want to drop out and become strippers because of Beyonc?. This is ludicrous. I invite people like Huckabee and Goldberg to listen to Flawless off of Beyonc?’s latest album. She FEATURES a prominent feminist author?right in the middle of the song. She essentially bashes this old man school of thinking. The queen has tried to empower women by letting them be sexually free and proud of their bodies.

It is 2015 boys. A woman doesn’t have to wear a turtle neck to demand respect. The double standards here are clear. First, did Huckabee or Goldberg like the Beatles? I would love for someone to ask because some of their songs are about drugs and all sorts of things. And did/do they like rock in general?! Several rock stars were/is?womanizing drug addicts. I am sure they do. Beyonc? has never sung about drugs like cocaine, which already sets her apart from so many white artists especially in the past, for whom these sanctimonious conservatives probably LOVED!

There are also many male artists who are sexual. Even wholesome white boys like Ed Sheeran talks about sexual escapades in a hotel room in his song Don’t. Other artists like Miguel and Trey Songz have very sexual lyrics and performances/videos but where is everyone coming down on these guys? Black or white, gender roles definitely factor into this analysis. It’s probably obvious this onslaught of attacks against one of the most successful black artists of?all time?doesn’t sit well with me.

I wonder if conservatives take issue with white artists the same way they do Beyonc?? Do the white people who’defend Madonna to the core, do so?only because she’s white? And is that a problem for Mr. Goldberg? What about Lady Gaga? And even the white mainstream’s darling Taylor Swift has become more sexual in her performances, even though she is somewhat tamed compared to others. When Miley Cyrus took her huge shift from Disney star to grown woman and artist, people lost their minds. Yes she was criticized but it was never a problem for the white community. And language like “pimping” wasn’t just thrown around at say, her father.

Regardless, the point is that women don’t only get to be sexual when it is in their bedrooms and to please a man. I am sure Goldberg and Huckabee are NO experts on women’s sexuality, but we like to feel good about ourselves FOR ourselves. I have?never, EVER heard or seen someone say they want to become a stripper because of Beyonc?. Black or white. I have heard though young girls saying, “I woke up like this,” which is a lyric from Beyonc?’s Flawless track. This lyric tells people to appreciate how they really look and to be confident in the skin you’re in as you walk through life.

Beyonc? has also had songs about independent women, but maybe conservatives think that is damaging too? Or what about when Beyonc? shouted that girls run the world? Is that damaging to our children?

These ongoing attacks just show that these people are delusional and seek to bring down any successful person of color that they can find. Why do they not come down so hard on idiots like Ted Nugent? Maybe because he’s a racist gun-toting scumbag perhaps? And Beyonc? isn’t?

Lastly, I never bought into?sexuality being so threatening. How is the female form so hurtful? It is not like Beyonc? wearing sexy outfits for her HUSBAND, for whom she has been with for over a decade, sends such a terrible message. For people that preach personal responsibility, how about you all raise your own kids and don’t leave it up to people like Beyonc?.
