I would like to share a video by Sir Ken Robinson, world-renowned education and creativity expert. Watching this video really made me excited by all of the possibilities which this line of thinking could open up for humanity. I also want to thank a commenter on my first article by the name of Chris Learned, for sharing this video with me.
In this video Sir Robinson very cleverly illustrates a brief synopsis of our current system, as well as some ideas on how we can modify it to accommodate the strengths of individual children as well as our society as a whole.
In one segment of the video he addresses ADHD (Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder). I anticipate that this segment will be the most contentious part of the video. It would seem not everyone is on the same page when it comes to the diagnosis of this disorder. I would recommend an open mind, even if you disagree with his position on ADHD. I think his overall message is still very important. Without further ado, here is the video.
