And Italian media company wanted to see what would happen if they asked a group of young boys to hit a young girl, so they conducted a social experiment to find out. The results were awesome.
The video starts by asking a group of boys a series of questions, including their age and what they want to be when they grow up. They are then introduced to a girl named “Martina.” The boys act as most adolescent boys would when introduced to a pretty girl, and they get a little giggly and shy.
Next, the boys are asked to “caress” Martina. The boys are nervous, but they comply with the request. Some gently touch her face, while others rub her arm.
The final thing they boys are asked to do stops them in their tracks. “Slap her,” a voice off-screen requests. The boys stop cold, and look stunned. Not a single boy hits the girl. And the best part comes when they are asked why they didn’t hit her.
