Jesse Nagy May Be The Best Uncle EVER!

Jesse Nagy was just being an uncle. Best. Uncle. EVER!!!

When his 4 year old niece Izzy wanted to watch the movie “Cinderella” at the theater, she wanted to wear her princess gown, but was shy about being the only person dressed up like a princess. So Uncle Jesse did what most men would never dream of; he borrowed a princess gown in his size and they both went as princesses.

A theater employee snapped a quick picture of the cute pair and of course, it went almost instantly viral on Reddit, receiving over 1.7 million views.

In an interview with ABC News, Nagy said,

“She’s like my mini-me. I really wanted to spend time with her, so I said ‘let’s go have a princess day.'”

“She said ‘you could be a princess too.’ We made the trade-off and I said, ‘OK, we can both be princesses,’ but she had to have the crown. I thought ‘fair enough!'”

Confused about why his phone was going crazy midway through the movie, Nagy explained,

“I had no idea. It wasn’t until midway through the movie my phone kept ringing with people texting asking if I was at a theater in Alabama. I’m not even subscribed to these sites so I said ‘what the heck is going on?'”

Nagy loves his niece a lot and added,

“If it’s going to make her happy, I’ll do it, I don’t care.”

Since this story broke,?Nagy, an actor, has been invited to appear on the Ellen DeGeneres Show and The Steve Harvey Show. He shared thanks to everyone that has shared the post on his Facebook page. His Twitter feed has been going nonstop?as this continues to grow.

Some of the comments attempt to degrade this young man for making “her even more embarrassed,” but there are haters everywhere. To me, Uncle Jesse is a little girl’s hero. I applaud him for this simple, selfless act.

As?the single parent of a young lady, I would absolutely love to (and do)?have fine male role models?like this in my daughter’s life. For my daughter, I strive to surround her with people that care about her and accept her as she is. We could use a whole lot more men like Jesse Nagy in this world.
