Tanner’s NFL Mock Draft Picks 11-20

Each year the NFL Draft is full of bust and Cinderella stories, and most fans hope for the latter. Nevertheless, this years draft is full of potential stars at nearly every position. But perhaps the biggest story is the limited Quarterback crop that continues to plague one of the NFL’s biggest stages. This year is no different with only Marcus Mariota and Jameis Winston to offer. But let’s not keep you waiting, here’s my NFL Mock Draft?for picks 11-20.

11. Minnesota Vikings: Devante Parker WR LOU. Reunion bells are chiming for Minnesota Vikings QB Teddy Bridgewater as the potential for the tandem to reunite. Despite missing the first seven games of his senior season, Parker still caught 43 passes for 855 yards and five touchdowns. The 6’3″ WR has some work to do but could boost the sapped Vikings core.

12. Cleveland Browns: Marcus Mariota QB ORE. This isn’t as far fetched as we think especially with Browns in such turmoil after Hoyer left and McCown was signed in desperation. We know that Cleveland has Manziel but at this point the Oregon product is their last hope.

13. New Orleans Saints: Bud Dupree OLB Kentucky. ?A 6’4″ 269 pound OLB from Kentucky is a full load and will fit in with Rob Ryan’s struggling defense.

14. Miami Dolphins: Trae Waynes CB MSU. The word speed doesn’t even begin to explain the quickness of Waynes. A clean 4.31 40 yard dash and a healthy 6’0″ are sure to be attractive to a good Fins defense. Only big weakness is his grabby hands and penalty flag lifestyle when he gets beat down the field.

15. ?San Francisco 49ers: Arik Armstead DT ORE. The second Oregon product to go has a 6’7″ 292 pound frame. He is a little weak feet and has little counter moves when he gets stopped. However, he is a fairly safe pick for a overhauled 49ers team that has one chance to show what direction they want to go in.

16. Houston Texans: Jalen Collins LSU. Collins has the trifecta with height, weight and speed but needs to improve leaps on his technique. With Jonathan Joseph’s contract up after this year, Collins is a fairly safe replacement.

17. San Diego Chargers: Todd Gurley GA. After?Ryan Matthews sailed off to Philly, the Chargers are desperate for a workhorse back. There’s no doubt that this 6’1″ 222 pound back can take it to NFL defenses, the question still looms if Gurley can bounce back from injury and quiet his off-field issues.

18. Kansas City Chiefs: D.J. Humphries OT Florida. This 6’5″ 307 pound lineman is probably the most pass-rush ready lineman in the league. However, Humphries is quite weak and exposed when it comes to the run blocking. With an all-pro back behind him this Florida product has got work to do.

19. Cleveland Browns: Breshad Perriman WR UCF. A 6’2″ Wide Receiver from UCF that ran a 4.24 and a 4.27 on pro day has the wheels to tear up turf, but unfortunately route running is a weakness for Perriman. Perriman is most comparable to Kenny Britt, minus all the arrests.

20. Philadelphia Eagles: Landon Collins SS ALA. This 6’0″ Alabama product was a first team All-American in 2014 for the Tide. Collins should be able to fit right in with a depleted Philly secondary.
