In our country, we see certain people portrayed certain ways in movies over and over again. African American men and women are often stereotyped, and so are men and women who live in Africa. There are so many Hollywood movies that are set in Africa that portray evil, gun-toting black men riding in the back of pickup trucks. But is that really what Africa is like? Do we really think that African men and women are like that? I sure hope most of us know better.
Check out this awesome video where four African men take on those negative Hollywood stereotypes and totally shatter them. These men remind us that people from Africa are, guess what, people. Let’s change the perception.
