Carly Fiorina Is More Than Just A Headache

Carly Fiorina as a women’s rights advocate is a joke.

Carly Fiorina is described as the Republican Party’s weapon to counter the “perception” they are waging a war on women’s rights. “People feel Carly has clearly demonstrated she is a very powerful operator, has a lot of strengths of conviction and is willing to take Hillary, and now even Trump, on very directly,” said Katie Packer Gage, a Republican strategist.

Not doing terribly well in the polls, Fiorina has been given a lift by the Republican Party as a way to suggest they are sensitive to women’s issues. Trump gave her credibility by singling her out and tweeting, “I just realized that if you listen to Carly Fiorina for more than 10 minutes straight, you develop a massive headache. She has zero chance.” This was in response to Fiorina’s comments about his tweet suggesting Megyn Kelly had blood coming out of… various orifices, and the interpretation it was menstrual blood.

Carly Fiorina can be a very powerful operator. Just not a very bright one. One of her “preferred’ solutions to financial problems is to fire people. It was one of her strategies at Hewlett-Packard (where “she” was fired for a lack of profits), and it is her plan for federal employees, should she be elected president. Carly Fiorina has stated she will reduce government spending by eliminating thousands of federal workers from the payroll.

Government programs, such as the FDA, NASA and the VA, to name a few, are already underfunded and barely able to function. This persistent drive to shrink the federal government is nothing more than than the rich avoiding taxes. But Carly Fiorina knows who her base is, people like the Koch brothers, and her slash and burn philosophy is what they are looking for.

Carly Fiorina’s only claim to presidential experience is the time she spent at Hewlett-Packard, from 1999 to 2005. After a controversial takeover of Compaq failed to improve profits, she decided it was time to lay off roughly 30,000 workers and ship their jobs overseas. (Maybe she could could send federal jobs overseas, and their wages?)

In 2005, Carly Fiorina was fired from Hewlett Packard, taking with her a $21 million severance package. Hewlett-Packard shares dropped by more than 50% during her time as company president. None of her plans worked out.

It is predictable if Carly Fiorina is elected president she will shrink the federal government as much as possible, assist in shipping jobs overseas and care very little about women’s rights, or the environment.
