USC Head Coach Steve Sarkisian attended the Salute to Troy event, but ended up having a little more fun than many expected.

According to sources, Sarkisian was drunk during the event and used foul language throughout the night to insult other college football programs.

Pat Haden, the athletic director at USC, had to intervene after Sarkisian was slurring his word on stage and berated him after his speech.

Sarkisian said “they all suck” when referring to the other pac-12 schools, and also used foul language when introducing his team to the alumni and its donors.

But the good news is that the head coach has apologized by saying,

“I sincerely apologize to my players and staff and to our fans for my behavior and my inappropriate language at our kickoff event Saturday night. I have a responsibility to all of them and I let them down. Pat Haden talked to me after the event about my actions and I assured him this will not happen again.”

The Salute to Troy is an annual event that is attended by alumni and donors.

The USC Athletic Director also apologized on behalf of Sarkisian.

“I met with coach Sarkisian and I expressed my disappointment in the way he represented himself and the university at our Salute to Troy event,” Haden said in the same released statement. “While the details of our conversation will remain between us, I am confident he heard my message loud and clear.”

Sarkisian is in his second year as the USC head coach. Last year the Trojans finished 9-4 and are ranked number 10 in the pre-season poll.

It’s pretty hard to believe that the biggest face of the university would go to a meeting that can effect that the financial state of your program while he was under the influence. It’s just not professional, and I would like to see some change happen.
