Police Officer Picks Up A Real Jackass

With all of the sadness in the world, including the horrific shooting this week, I thought a little levity might be in order.

We all have those family members or friends who are a real pain in the ass when it comes to being a backseat driver. A police officer in Oklahoma took that to an entirely new level earlier this week.

A woman called the Norman Police Department on Tuesday because she had seen a miniature donkey wandering on the road. (For geographical purposes, Norman is a suburb of Oklahoma City). Norman City Police Officer Kyle Canaan came upon this wandering ass and attempted to take it into custody.

The police officer used a combination of pushing, pulling, and animal feed to get the donkey into the backseat of his patrol car. The donkey, nicknamed “Squishy” (because why not), originally resisted custody but eventually gave in.

Luckily for both Squishy and the police officer, the miniature donkey fit perfectly within the squad car’s back seat. To ensure that Squishy was comfortable, the police officer drove with the window down.

The woman who had found Squishy was willing to bail this ass out. She stated if no one came forward, she would take it home.

Sadly for her, but luckily for Squishy, a call to the Norman Police Department today revealed that the donkey was in fact claimed and reunited with its owner.
