Santa’s Sleigh IS Faster Than A Jet Plane

Dealing with crazy relatives, crazy work schedules, and even crazier holiday shopping makes for a pretty stressful holiday season – especially for travelers. Airlines at least try to make the best of things for passengers, but no matter how festive they might feel, the usual holiday hell and Bah Humbug takes over, wiping the holiday cheer right out of them.

That’s why this year, Santa sleighed from airport to airport faster than a jet plane to deliver some much needed holiday cheer – and Christmas miracles – to passengers.

Santa And Elves Sleigh To Augusta

Santa and his elves started making their way to Augusta Regional Airport, in Augusta, Georgia, to celebrate the airport’s transformation into a winter wonderland December 14.

Though they brought a ton of holiday music and fun with them, travelers can also sample music from the Augusta’s Holiday Performance Series performers in gate areas until December 23.

Santa can’t be there every day, but has make a few appearances, and the good news is that if anyone missed him, they can search for hidden elves and other goodies instead.

What an awesome way to keep kids smiling while waiting for a flight!

Holiday Cheer And Gingerbread Men

Santa didn’t make it to Fresno Yosemite International Airport in Fresno, California, himself, but he sent the Gingerbread Man in his place, who flew in the sleigh faster than a jet plane to get there on time. Why would the great ginger cookie risk being torn apart by hungry travelers?

To introduce the Gingerbread Winter Wonderland display – and party with passengers, of course.

Master Pastry Chef Willem Bezemer made the display from very real Gingerbread with the help of Institute of Technology Culinary School chefs. Taking the chefs 300 hours to make – by hand – it features beloved local and world icons like the Eiffel Tower and Fresno’s own Water Tower, among others, according to the Fresno Bee.

The Gingerbread Winter Wonderland, the centerpiece for the airport’s yearly Christmas tree lighting event on December 3, was accompanied by the music stylings of University High School’s flute choir, too.

Holiday cheer and a ton of pictures and fun with the Gingerbread Man make for an awesome time while waiting for a flight.

Santa Sleighed Faster Than A Jet Plane To Make People Cry

This holiday miracle of miracles happened in 2013, when Santa’s jet plane like sleigh really helped WestJet deliver a host of holiday cheer to its passengers.

Arriving at WestJet gates to catch flights bound for Calgary, passengers talked to Santa in a video kiosk – that knew their names. Everyone told Santa what they wished for when he asked, and many asked for what they needed instead of wanted. Everyone thought it was a typical appearance, but…

After each passenger boarded their flight bound for Calgary, Santa and WestJet employees went to work. Santa hopped in sleigh and WestJet workers in their cars, and they all made their way to the nearest stores for some blitz shopping.

While passengers relaxed on the flight – if such a thing is possible – everyone else got to wrapping. At the very moment each jet plane arrived in Calgary, Santa and WestJet were ready.

Surprise, Surprise! When the passengers awaited their luggage and cars, it started snowing inside, and out poured a ton of presents – the very same presents they told Santa they wanted. Smiles and tears of joy courtesy of WestJet, of course. What really made it possible was Santa’s sleigh really flying faster than a jet plane… It’s true!

From toys and televisions, to wrenches and socks, there really is no doubt, Santa makes holidays rock.
