Petra Ruiz was driving home from the salon on Boxing Day and while on Facetime with her husband, a tornado swallowed her in her car, causing her to die.
Unfortunately, her husband had to witness the tragic moment as his wife is killed during a massive tornado.
Ruben Porras, husband of Ruiz, watched until the screen went dark as his wife screams while a tornado sweeps her away in Garland, Texas.
Porras recalls the event as though they were regularly talking on Facetime about dinner plans until the tornado suddenly came and Porras watched this horror until the screen went black.
“She just started screaming, ” said Porras
Porras used an app “Find My Friends” to track his wife location, to later find the location of her death.
Porras arrived to the scene to find his wife’s car, which was thrown from the overpass onto the road below.
“I grabbed her hand and started talking to her,”said Porras.
Ruiz was pronounced dead at the scene.
“I grabbed her wrist to see if she had a pulse, but she was just gone,” said Porras.
The mother of four young children was one of eight victims killed during the tornado.
According to Inquisitr , the couple has met when Porras was 15 and planned to grow old together. A GoFundMe account has been set up for the family.
