SNL Slays With Hilarious Beyonce Parody

SNL caused a downpour of white tears in “The Day Beyonce Turned Black,” a skit on Beyonce, the”Formation” video, and the Super Bowl 50 half-time performance where Bey honored the Sisters in the Black Panther Party. In the parody, white people listening to the song and watching news footage, literally lose their “damn minds” when they discern that Beyonce is black. Not just black, but unapologetically black. White people freak out running into streets, while trying to gain a modicum of understanding.

Beyonce Black Panther Tribute: Five On The Black Hand Side

White people in the skit are perplexed over the song lyrics and question the line, “I got hot sauce in my bag swag.” It dawns on one man that, “Maybe this song isn’t for us.” He and his coworkers wrongly assumed that Bey would stay in the pop zone with safe but sexy, sing-a-long lyrics. “But it’s always about us!” comes from a clearly distraught white woman. Sorry, boo. Not this time.

Beyonce Knows: The Blacker The Berry, The Sweeter The Juice

SNL cast members perfectly captured the confusion of white America. Bey set it off, slaying back to back last week. First with the video drop and the next day with her Super Bowl performance. Black people lost it, because Bey was so undeniably honest and real. White people lost it because the truth hurts. Yeah, she’s black alright, Alabama, Louisiana, Texas Bama black! Her unapologetic stand for black people and a call for an end to police brutality, align with the goals of the Black Lives Matter movement.

Anti and Pro Beyonce Protesters Lined Up To Rally Face To Face

Protest rallies are scheduled for Tuesday outside of the NFL Headquarters in New York. Anti-Beyonce protesters feel the video and half-time show were disrespectful to law enforcement. They will face off with Anti-Anti-Beyonce protesters who stand with Beyonce, celebrating her fierceness in addressing and seeking police accountability for the killing of unarmed black people at the hands of police. “Hands up don’t shoot” was tagged on a wall in the video and speaks to the ever-growing rallying cry for an end to state policing of black communities and bodies.

SNL gets a “cool beans” head nod for being on point. Hell, they know Beyonce slays. Now get in Formation.
