Michael Jackson’s only daughter, 17-year-old Paris Jackson, flipped out on Instagram this past Thursday. It seems as though this blow up has been on the rise. Her Instagram looks like any young teenage girl’s Instagram.
Paris has been a huge target for controversy. It seems that being the daughter of one of the biggest stars in the world has left many fans with some kind of expectations that they hold her to. Paris stated in a comment on Instagram that she thinks the expectations held for her are just as ridiculous as the expectations held for her father. She is the only one out of Michael’s children who actually respond to people on social media.
Paris recently shared what she thinks about the role of her father being cast to white actor Joseph Fiennes in a new upcoming film. It didn’t take long for the negative and judgmental comments to come flowing in and Paris was having none of it.
In one set of comments, Paris stated that she feels as though she has been being ripped to shreds ever since she changed the privacy setting to let the outside world in. For a time she would simply take the time to delete the rude and negative comments, but now she is stepping up to speak her peace.
There was a photo posted by a young girl with an alien spray painted behind her on the wall. After the outburst from Paris, many of the comments to the photo went from bashing and negative to positive and full of love and support.
