Dance Team Stuns A Crowd With A Performance Like No One Has Ever Seen

The crowd at any high school sporting event is just as eager to watch the half-time performance as the game. Everyone loves to be entertained by dedicated students performing their choreographed routines to music, whether it’s cheerleaders, a marching band or the dance team.

The Mahomet-Seymour High School dancers decided to give their audience a half-time show they would be unlikely to forget.

The dance team is standing in the center of a basketball court as they are introduced to an expectant crowd.

The music begins. Instead of a well-known pop song, Jon Jorgenson’s thought-provoking track named, “What Are You Afraid Of?” is playing. While the dance team, with confident and imaginative dance moves, interprets the spoken lyrics and their main theme – what room does fear have?

The girls’ incredible talent and unique performance, combined with the song’s powerful message is spell-binding.

But the reaction of the crowd says it all. The performance is punctuated with whistles, whoops, cheers, clapping and people shouting,”Yea.” At one point, everyone seems to cry out “WOW” in unison.

The crowd was sure to have gone home feeling inspired and enlightened. And when the basketball game is long forgotten, memories of the half-time dance performance will continue to be talked about.
