Protesters Who Booed Donald Trump Kansas Rally Speech Not Who You Think They Are (VIDEO)

Donald Trump held a campaign rally in the state of Kansas today where residents are voting in their primary caucuses. While speaking at Convention Hall at Century II next door to a caucus location, Trump was booed for most of his ten-minute speech.

The crowd was particularly unimpressed with the part of Trump’s speech where he spoke about his business success and spoke of Trump’s lack of sincere concern for the voters of Kansas.

“’Some of the greatest assets in the world,’ Trump said of his company. ‘Very low debt. Tremendous cash flow. Some of the most incredible places. In fact, this week at Doral, they are are playing the World Golf Championship, it’s now Trump National Doral,’ he said, as the crowd interrupted and drowned him out with noise.

One protester gave his thoughts on Trump’s campaign rather succinctly:

“‘I was definitely part of the booing,’ said Ben Chambers, 24, of Wichita. ‘I’ve been listening to what he says and I’m not buying it, plus the guy can’t even spell the name of our town.'”

In case you’re thinking this was a gathering of Black Lives Matter activists or liberals incensed by Trump’s racist, sexist, ableist, and xenophobic rhetoric, it wasn’t.

“The crowd at Convention Hall at Century II in downtown Wichita was made up overwhelmingly of Ted Cruz supporters, who waved signs and interrupted the billionaire businessman as he tried to made his case.

‘We turned around and said we have to get to Kansas, and we’ve been here,’ Trump said to a chorus of boos. ‘We just had a rally, thousands of people, thousands of people outside, couldn’t even get in, so it’s going to be a special day.'”

It was a special day, indeed, a day for Trump to begin to understand that even the voters in the party he’s running under are sick enough of him to attend his speech just to protest it.
