Kalamazoo Gunman Asked Victim For A Dollar To ‘Make America Great Again’ Before Shooting Her

Reports that were released Friday under the Michigan Freedom of Information Act give new insight into the horrific February 21st rampage of Uber driver Jason Brian Dalton.

The reports detail Dalton’s interview with Sgt. Kyle Gorham. During his interview with Gorham, Dalton explained that the Uber app took over both his vehicle and his body. Dalton said the app told him to:

“Plug in an auxiliary cable into his car, along with the power source for his phone and a Bluetooth.”

Not a strange message, considering the app is just telling you how to hook your phone up to your sound system in your car for hands free use of things like Google Maps.

Next Dalton explained that the app began communciating with him through a series of “dings” — one for yes and two for no.

At one point in the evening Dalton went to his house and gathered his guns and loaded the magazines. While preparing his guns, Dalton was informed that there was a fare named “McKinney” in the Richland Township.

He began his attacks at The Meadows townhomes. There, he shot Tiana Carruthers after she informed him twice that she was not McKinney. Carruthers, despite having been shot multiple times, is currently recovering in a hospital.

Dalton’s next location was the Seeyle Auto Group. There he shot Tyler Smith and his father Rich Smith. Dalton informed Gorham that “it,” in reference to the app, “was telling him to look at the black BMW.” (Big shocker that this individual is trying to enforce how it wasn’t him, it was the app.) However, he didn’t look at the BMW; he killed the Smiths who were looking at a blue truck.

After killing the Smiths, Dalton informed Sgt. Kyle Gorham that he picked up an Uber fare and went to the Beer Exhange. An issue with the fare caused Dalton to have to return to a hotel next to Cracker Barrel.

After watching vehicles in the Cracker Barrel parking lot for awhile, Dalton decided to approach one of them.

“Jason advised he walked up to the lady and asked her if she could spare a dollar to make America great again.”

The woman advised she didn’t have the dollar to spend. Jason stated he shot the woman at this time…Jason advised he was going to run away but then he heard people scream.

Jason advised he shot the people in the car and he said it was like it was telling him where to shoot. Jason stated he remembers shooting a small person in the head.”

Shortly after the shootings at Cracker Barrel, Dalton was arrested.

It isn’t entirely clear if the shootings were politically motivated, or if Dalton is in fact a Trump supporter, or just a psychopath.
