We Listened To FULL AUDIO Of Alabama Gov Talking To His Lover So You Don’t Have To

Unless you’ve been under a rock for the last few weeks, you’re probably aware of what’s going on with the Republican governor of Alabama, Robert Bentley. The “church deacon” governor is involved in a scandal that involves money, sex, and corruption and includes an alleged extramarital affair with aide Rebekah Mason. Bentley (of course) lied at first, but later admitted that he made sexual comments. He has since apologized for this affair that he continues to claim he never had.

Well, we have the original FULL recording of this yucky phone call and we listened to it so you don’t have to!

Some of the yuck:

“You’d kiss me? I love that. You know I do love that. You know what? When I stand behind you and I put my arms around you, and I put my hands on your breasts, and I put my hands on you and pull you in real close. Hey, I love that, too.”

And:

“Yea. You could feel my hand. Uhhh… What’s that song? “The magic moment.”

Yeah. Magic, that’s what it is.

And:

“Baby, let me know what I am going to do when I start locking the door. If we are going to do what we did the other day, we are going to have to start locking the door.”

But he seems to secretly want to get caught.

“You know what, it is kinda scary. Somebody open that door? Mmm.”

What did she do “the other day”? Never mind. We don’t want to know.

OK, yeah we do want to know! We can’t help it. We are fascinated with this craziness.

“Let me kiss your ear. Oh shoot. Let me kiss that left ear, OK? Can I whisper something in that sweet ear?”

And what does he mean by this comment?

“You know the other thing, too, baby, we are so much alike. I know, we are. We are.”

Here’s a short clip, though we’ve put the full audio at the end of the article.

But…but…but…he loves her!

Well, I love you, and I do. You know, I worry about sometimes I love you so much, I worry about loving you so much. I do. I do… I feel like, all the time I’m thinking, ‘How can I contact her? How can I call her? How can I text her? How can I be in contact with her? How can we do this?’

Well here’s how he did it. To be able to conduct these hilarious and ridiculous phone conversations on the down-low, Gov. Bentley spent $1,732.68 on burner (throwaway) phones to talk to Mason.

He does love her! He swears it!

“Can I tell you that I love you and you believe it? I do. I’m telling you I do, baby. I am, sweetheart, please, I’m just doing the best I can, ok?”

Actually, I’m starting to feel kinda sad for him. 🙁

“And I miss you. And I miss you. And I wish you were here with me right now, OK? And I wish I could hold you and I wish I could kiss you and I wish, you know, I wish that—I do.”

He continued:

“Baby, I love you. I know we are in a difficult situation. Unless I make things as normal as possible here, it is going to be hell.”

“I miss you. I wish you were here with you right now. I wish I could hold you. I wish I could kiss you… I wish that, I do.”

OK, no I’m not feeling sad for him. I’m remembering suddenly that this perv fought for the “sanctity of marriage.” From Slate:

Last year, his office wrote a friend of the court brief to the Supreme Court opposing same-sex marriage because it destroys the “rights of children to be connected to their biological parents.” That same brief described marriage equality as a “social experiment.”

But how did the public get its hands on these recordings? According to Spencer Collier, former head of Alabama’s Law Enforcement Agency, the recording was leaked by a member of Bentley’s family who was “hoping for an intervention.”

What the actual F…..? Let it be known to my kids: if you put my sex tapes out there hoping someone will help, you’ll be in big trouble. (just kidding….I don’t have sex tapes)

Or maybe Mrs. Bentley released the tape? That sounds like something an angry, humiliated spouse would do.

Anyhow, after hearing the recording, Collier confronted Bentley. From Vox:

Collier told AL.com that he confronted Bentley about the scandal late in 2014, who admitted it was happening and promised to stop.

“I made Governor Bentley aware of the recording that I heard,” Collier told the New York Times. “I told Governor Bentley there was no need to try and explain it for anything other than it was. It was very obvious that it was sexual in nature.”

Collier has since been fired.

But what about Rebekah Mason? Well…she resigned after Bentley’s apology. She’s no longer an employee of the state, but serves as an “adviser” to the governor. She accused Collier of “gender bias.” From CNN:

“Since 2010, I have proudly served as Gov. Robert Bentley’s Campaign Press Secretary, Communications Director, Advisor, Campaign Communications Director and now Senior Policy Advisor. “It is an honor to serve our Governor and the people of our state,” Mason said in a statement provided to CNN by the governor’s office.

In a follow-up email with CNN, Mason stood by the governor’s comments on the recordings, saying everyone has moved on.

“Those recordings were made over two years ago. Governor Bentley had apologized to me and to my family, we accepted his apology and have moved forward,” Mason said. “I continue to serve in the Bentley Administration along with the rest of our team, and I look forward to the opportunities we have to make our state stronger.”

Dianne Bentley, Bentley’s wife of 50 years, filed for divorce in August. If his sexual prowess in the bed is anywhere near as pathetic as his phone sex technique, we can’t blame her.

More than 90 percent of polled Alabama residents want Bentley to resign. Of course, he’s refusing to resign, as these narcissistic morons always do.

Here’s Rachel Maddow’s takedown of this weirdo:
