WATCH: He’s Done It Again! $40 Million Trump University Lawsuit To Trial

On Tuesday, New York State Supreme Court ruled that the $40 million Trump University lawsuit will proceed to trial, leaving many of us to shake our heads yet again in trying to comprehend why America would want a crook for President?

The Republican front-runner ran the elaborate scam known as Trump University between 2005-2010, offering students expensive three-day real estate seminars ending with a “diploma” that would make them rich.

But the New York court forced Trump University to rename it to the Trump Entrepreneur Initiative instead, because it was too misleading to call itself an institute of learning.

Several lawsuits has been launched against the scam. As The Young Turks (TYT) explained last month:

“The lawsuit revolves around the school Trump launched in 2005, promising to turn ’anyone into a successful real estate investor’, but which former students now say was little more than a bad ’infomercial’ that scammed them out of $60.000 for a bad seminar in a hotel ballroom.”

Watch TYT describe the scam and the lawsuits brought onto the school here:

The $40 million lawsuit which the New York State Supreme Court ruled will proceed to trial, has been brought on by New York Attorney General Eric Schneiderman in 2013, because the Trump University was never credited, it awarded no degrees, and was described as a “bait-and-switch.”

According to Occupy Democrats, Eric Schneiderman was very pleased with the intention to move to trial:

“I am very pleased the judge has indicated her intention to move as expeditiously as possible to trial, as thousands of Mr. Trump’s alleged victims have been waiting years for relief from his fraud. We believe that Mr. Trump and Mr. Sexton will be essential witnesses at trial. As we will prove in court, Donald Trump and his sham for-profit college defrauded thousands of students out of millions of dollars.”

Donald Trump has shamelessly conned thousands of students to pay thousands of dollars for essentially — nothing. Watch Trump promote his school here:

7,000 former Trump University students learned the hard way that what Donald Trump promises is not what Donald Trump honors. Remember this in November!
