Gun Owner In Indiana Shoots Himself While Using A Mall Bathroom

A 24-year-old “responsible gun owner” shot himself in the butt whilst using a mall toilet. He had finished using the restroom and was trying to get his .45 back in the holster. The gun accidentally fired and sent a bullet into the man’s right buttock and exited out of his leg.

This man is obviously not “responsible” enough to have a weapon. If you are going to carry a deadly weapon, you should know how to not shoot yourself with it.

Maybe he was just trying a new form of birth control. There have been many cases of men accidentally shooting themselves between the legs.

I can almost hear the conservative arguments now. They might say someone else with a gun could’ve stopped this. For a different approach, they may adopt Jeb Bush’s “stuff happens” attitude about it. If the conservatives can say that after a massacre, then they must be ok with this idiot shooting himself.

At least it wasn’t a toddler getting shot, or shooting anyone else, this time. There have been twenty-three accidental shootings by toddlers just this year and we’re only in the first week of May. In March, there was a case of a boy getting his mom’s gun out of her purse while riding in the car. The child shot his mother in the back through the seat. She had been taking her four-year-old to shoot her guns. This is just what every child needs…a deadly weapon….with every bit of knowledge he needs to operate it and no cognitive ability to understand the consequences when he does.

In late April, there was a case of a toddler in Indiana who shot himself in the chest after finding a gun in his mother’s purse.

Not everyone should own a gun. We need background checks and gun safety training. Children should not be able to get to their parents’ weapons. Really, they should not be allowed near children in the first place. Can we have more gun control now, please?

Maybe we could adopt technology like this:
