WATCH: Fox News Guest Says Donald Trump Is Comparable To Muhammad Ali

Thursday this week, a guest of Fox News Live explained why Donald Trump (R-N.Y.) was successful in his bid for the Republican Party presidential nomination. Trump was also compared to boxing legend Muhammad Ali, who recently passed away.

Apparently, Donald Trump also floats like butterfly and stings like a bee. Well, he stings like a hornet’s nest according to Cal Thomas, a syndicated columnist and Fox News contributor.

Thomas was invited as a guest in one of the FoxNews Live recent broadcasts. He appeared on the June 9 broadcast where he was interviewed about his latest column piece entitled “Explaining Donald Trump.”

According to his article, Trump’s success can be attributed to the fact that he was able to distinguish himself from other Republican candidates by fighting back. Thomas explained that the conservative voters are tired of sending Republican politicians to Washington to only become “doormats” to senior politicians from the Democratic Party like Nancy Pelosi and Harry Reid.

The columnist added that many Republican politicians are more concerned about being politically correct. He said that many Republican politicians are preoccupied about proving the negatives of not being racist, sexist, homophobic or Islamophobic.

Trump, on the other hand, is more aggressive in tackling the issues, according to Thomas. He compared him to Muhammad Ali, saying that:

“Trump doesn’t take that lying down. I compared him in some ways to a less artful Muhammad Ali. He floats like a butterfly and stings like a whole hornet’s nest, frankly.”

Thomas emphasized that despite the negative publicity, Trump, the real estate mogul-turned-politician, is changing. The journalist related his interview with the presumptive Republican presidential nominee about Trump University.

He said that Trump agreed that nobody really cares about whether Trump is being treated fairly or not by the media. The voters are more concerned about the issue of poverty, unemployment, and terrorism.

Thomas believes that Trump is turning around to become more presidential in his rhetoric and actions.
