Texas Gives Anti-Abortion ‘Clinic’ $1.6 Million Based On Pseudo-Scientific Theories (VIDEO)

A Texas anti-abortion organization, The Heidi Group, has a pretty dumb CEO. They give women “advice” about their pregnancies, but they are not a medical organization.

CEO and Founder Carol Everett testified at a hearing in Austin of the proposed law that would force women to bury or cremate fetuses from an abortion or a miscarriage.

She gave a hypothetical situation that has zero scientific evidence to back it up. She said that a sewer line with fetuses could spread STDs and HIV to the general public. This website has information about HIV. Funny thing, the Centers For Disease Control (CDC) doesn’t mention catching STDs from fetuses in the sewer.

Texas took $1.6 million of our taxpayer money away from Planned Parenthood and gave it to this Heidi Group. The Heidi Group is not a medical provider.

Everett said that she will be giving the money to crisis pregnancy centers. These are the places that lie to women to keep them from having abortions.

Everett said:

“My goal is to reach that little girl in a small county with no hope of having anybody explain her birth control options or have her blood pressure checked.”

Many groups are surprised at this rewarded grant. Stacey Pogue, senior policy analyst for the Center for Public Policy Priorities said:

“We are surprised to see an award made to an entity before they appear to have any doctors or clinics ready to serve women, and we would be concerned about any awardee that that doesn’t have expertise in providing family planning services specifically.”

Here is another shocker, Carol Everett actually used to be an abortion provider in the 1980s. She left in 1983 after she found Jesus. She said:

“As a woman, I am never going to tell another woman what to tell to do. Our goal is to find out what she wants to do. We want her to have fully informed decision on what she wants to do. I want to find health care for that woman who can’t afford it. She is the one in my thoughts.”

Giving this person money is a total waste of resources. She just wants to push her pro-life agenda on vulnerable women.

Here is an interview with Everett speaking about spreading Ebola:
