Three Children Found Living In HORRIBLE Conditions With ‘Caked Feces On Their Hands’ (VIDEO)

Two parents, Kimberly Powell, 26, and Andrew Powell, 25, in Franklin County, Kentucky, were indicted Monday after their three children – ages 2, 4, and 6 – were found starving, living in horrible conditions with “feces caked on their hands,” according to the Daily Mail.

After several calls were made to the Cabinet for Health and Family Services about the living conditions of a family in the Capital Mobile Home Park, police decided to pay them a visit on July 15.

When police arrived at the home they noticed that the “windows to the home were covered with black plastic material.”

However, nothing could prepare them for what they were about to discover.

As Sheriff Melton walked into the mobile home, he said:

“There was a strong odor of feces and urine, in addition to bugs crawling all over the walls and counters. There were also dark stains on the mattresses.”

The couple’s three children were in the bug-infested home – malnourished with “caked feces on their hands.”

Sheriff Melton said:

“They had a nail. And they were taking a rope and tying it to the door and pulling the door shut, sealing them in there with black plastic over the windows and wrapping them.”

The sheriff added that:

“Just very, very deplorable conditions, with feces and urine – from humans not animals, from humans.”

“So – tough case.”

But Andrew’s brother, Justin Hendricks, told reporters that the police “exaggerated the state of the home” and added that:

“I know how he is. He wouldn’t hurt his kids. He wouldn’t do nothing like what they’re trying to say.”

“I do know that he got phone calls from all three of the kids’ doctors’ appointments, and every one of them said they were fine.”

Andrew’s sister, Holly Powell, said:

“I feel that this is just a lot of hearsay, and I don’t think that they gave them a chance to progress on what they needed to do.”

“I don’t think that they should be sitting in the jail right now. The kids, they’re with somebody that they don’t even know.”

Franklin County police arrested the parents and they are now facing “three counts each of criminal abuse.”

Neighbors were stunned after learning the couple was arrested on abuse charges, including neighbor, Pamela Turner, who said:

It breaks my heart.”

“I want to cry right now. Because I feel so bad for them children.”

The parents are being held at the Franklin County Regional Jail.
