Surprising Results From This Poll About Trump’s Wall (VIDEO)

Results from a recent poll conducted by CNN show what we’ve been trying to say all along; Americans don’t want the wall. More surprising, though, is how little even supporters of the Republican presidential nominee, Donald Trump, agree with his immigration policies.

According to the poll Trump supporters and his rival, Democratic presidential candidate, Hillary Clinton, 60 percent oppose Trump’s idea to build a wall spanning the U.S./Mexico border. Additionally, 74 percent of those surveyed say that they do not believe that Mexico will pay for Trump’s wall, as he has claimed in the past.

Most recently in his speech on immigration in Arizona, Trump claimed:

“Mexico will pay for the wall. 100%. They don’t know it yet, but they’re going to pay for the wall.”

Well, almost three-quarters of voters aren’t buying it.

Arguably, the least popular part of Trump’s immigration policy is ironically the one his campaign keeps harping on.

When asked if all undocumented immigrants living in the United States should be deported, 66 percent of voters said no.

Even among Trump’s supporters, 55 percent do not support deporting all undocumented immigrants. Among all voters, just 11 percent consider deporting all undocumented immigrants living in the U.S. to be their top priority on the issue of immigration.

Those claims from the Trump campaign that the American people want to see all undocumented immigrants deported? Wrong again.

Another interesting number in these poll results might reveal some clues about Trump’s recent flip-flopping on his immigration policy. A whopping 88 percent of those surveyed favor a path to citizenship for undocumented immigrants.

Unsurprisingly, 94 percent of Clinton supporters would be in favor of a bill that would allow a path to citizenship.

What is surprising is that 80 percent of Trump’s supporters would also be in favor of this kind of bill.

What these poll results show is that Trump can’t have it both ways. He can’t appease voters with his stance on immigration, and he can’t fool them into thinking he’s changed his mind.

Even his supporters are starting to question him. Trump can’t lie to the American people. We’ll see right through it.
