One of my favorite comedians has just given me another reason to love him. The internet is full of conspiracy theories surrounding Democratic presidential nominee Hillary Clinton’s health. She almost fainted during a 9/11 memorial. We later learned that she has pneumonia. Yes, she has been keeping up a gruelling campaign schedule while battling illness.
Comedian Patton Oswalt tweeted:
Wait, so Hillary has PNEUMONIA and she's still campaigning as hard as she is? You realize how badass that is, right?

He then got in an epic jab at Republican presidential nominee Donald Trump when he tweeted:
Psychotic, dissociative narcissism with lack of empathy > pneumonia. #ImWithHer

Clinton’s doctor released this statement:
“Secretary Clinton has been experiencing a cough related to allergies. On Friday, during follow-up evaluation of her prolonged cough, she was diagnosed with pneumonia. She was put on antibiotics, and advised to rest and modify her schedule. While at this morning’s event, she became overheated and dehydrated. I have just examined her and she is now re-hydrated and recovering nicely.”
We’ve all done it. You’ve gone to work with a cold. Clinton is human, she gets sick occasionally. Powering through it shows her strength and tenacity.
Before this, Clinton’s doctor had released this statement:
“Mrs. Clinton is a healthy female with hypothyroidism and seasonal allergies, on long-term anticoagulation. She participates in a healthy lifestyle and has had a full medical evaluation, which reveals no evidence of additional medical issues or cardiovascular disease. Her cancer screening evaluations are all negative. She is in excellent physical condition and fit to serve as President of the United States.”
The real issue is sexism. If Trump was sick, would we be making a big deal about it? Would the GOP be making this a big deal if it was their candidate? Meghan McCain, daughter of the 2008 Republican presidential nominee, John McCain, said:
How would @TheFix and the media have reacted in '08 if my father had his lifeless body thrown into a van and lost a shoe on camera?
