Watch Donald Trump Singing The ‘Green Acres’ Theme Song — In OVERALLS (VIDEO)

Yes, Donald Trump donned overalls, a straw hat and held a pitchfork as he sang the Green Acres theme song. This happened during the 2005 Emmy Awards show.

Singing with Trump, in the Zsa Zsa Gabor role, was Megan Mullaly, of Will & Grace. This year, on Conan, Mullaly explained that the duet was part of a takeoff of American Idol.

“Mullally said they won ‘Emmy Idol,’ and Trump was so pleased that he called her the next day to thank her for her part in their shared victory, saying ‘we really needed to win that.’

‘If he needed to win ‘Emmy Idol’ that bad, what must it be like now?’ Mullally wondered.”

It’s hard to think of anyone less likely as a country boy than New York’s Donald Trump. But don’t forget, as Mother Jones reminds us, when he lost the Iowa caucuses, Trump claimed he loved the state so much, he said he might buy a farm there.

“We love you. We thank you. We will be back, many, many times. In fact, I might come here and buy a farm[.]”

So if Trump loses the election in November, maybe life will imitate art.

Meanwhile, check out Trump’s surprisingly not-terrible rendition of Green Acres below. It’s a performance you will not be able to unsee!
