It’s Their Turn: VP Picks Kaine and Pence To Butt Heads In First Debate (VIDEO)

We’ve witnessed the debate between Republican nominee Donald Trump and Democratic presidential nominee Hillary Clinton. Now it’s time for their pick for vice president to take their turn in the debate spotlight on October 4, 2016.

It’s been shown that Clinton gained a modest boost after her debate with Trump. Will her VP pick, former governor of New Mexico Tim Kaine, also gain a boost after debating with Indiana Governor Mike Pence?

Is Pence going to honor his job description as “clarifier in chief” and further excuse Trump’s abhorrent rhetoric?

Without Trump’s Loudmouth…

…Maybe we’ll Actually be able to understand Trump’s role as potential president.

Trump interrupted Clinton and host Lester Holt over 55 times during their first debate. Pence might’ve aligned himself with Trump – but he isn’t as loud or seemingly obnoxious. The debate this coming Tuesday between Kaine and Pence will reinforce their introduction to America, as neither of these candidates are as nationally recognized as their running mates.

Their first debate will help introduce their ideas without being overshadowed by juggernauts, Clinton and Trump.

What We Know of Pence and Kaine

Mike Pence is well respected in Republican circles. In 2015, he signed a religious bill that protects businesses that don’t want to participate in same-sex weddings due to religious purposes.

He’s also a social conservative who is devoted to his faith as an evangelical Christian. Blurring the lines between separation of church and state, he spring-boarded one of the strictest abortion laws in the nation.

He also endorsed Senator Ted Cruz (R-Texas) for president – do what you will with that piece of information.

Kaine is also a man of faith, spending time with missionaries in Honduras after attending Harvard Law school. He also spent 17 years as a lawyer to represent people who were dealing with housing discrimination, even going as far as bringing a suit against a financial institution for active redlining.

He’s even been able to woo some Republicans with his financial savvy, catapulting Virginia as one of the best states for businesses. He’s here for woman’s reproductive rights and is an LGBT ally.

Kaine is one of the cosponsors of the Equality Act, a piece of legislation that provided protections for LGBT and questioning youth.

What Are Your Predictions for the Kaine-Pence Debate?

During the debates, Pence will most likely attack Clinton and her email debacle, and perhaps even mention information where she called half of Trump supporters a “basket of deplorables.”

Kaine will most likely attack Pence on his biases hiding behind his social conservatism, pinpointing his failed stance on women’s rights, Trump’s comments on women, and his tired excuses as to why he won’t release his income tax returns.

At the very least, we will have two collected, concentrated individuals who will let each other finish a sentence without rudely interjecting – here’s for hoping.
