Republican Senator Supported Iraq War To Spread Mormonism To The Middle East (VIDEO)

Wars have always been fought for religion. And Senator Gordon Smith wants to continue doing just that.

Republican State Senator of Oregon, Gordon Smith was filmed stating “I know and have been a critic of the Iraq war, but I also admit to you that I voted for it because I felt the Lord’s hand in it,” Smith said. “I hope it works out, but I can promise you this: You’ll never send missionaries to the Arab street until the rule of law exists in Arabia, and it has taken root in Iraq. And ultimately, if that succeeds, there will be an opportunity to begin building the church in the Middle East, which is a deeply troubled place.”

As the first half of the statement goes, Senator Smith was one of the few people who initially opposed the war, but he later indicated how “building a church in the Middle East” will be an opportunity since he felt the lord’s hand in it.

While America has given us the ability to practice the religion and belief of our choice, it shouldn’t come to the point where we shove our religious beliefs onto other people. That has been humanity’s downfall for the past 2 millennia, and if such a trend continues, it will spell the end for us all.
