BREAKING: Paul Ryan Gives House Members OK On Dumping Trump — ‘Do What’s Best For You’

House Speaker Paul Ryan has officially stated that he will no longer defend or campaign with Republican nominee for president, Donald Trump.

Ryan has said that he has shifted his focus to keeping the House majority. This was discussed in a conference call with House Republicans on Monday morning, following Sunday night’s presidential debate.

The Speaker told those on the call to do whatever they need to do in regard to Trump to ensure they are reelected.

Though he did not un-endorse Trump, Ryan has basically admitted defeat to the Republican’s chances at the presidential race, saying his goal is:

“Make sure that Hillary Clinton does not get a blank check.”

Burning Down The House

New York Daily News reports that the Republicans are incredibly worried about

“…Holding onto House control for the first time in many years.”

They are terrified that “Trump’s flailing campaign” will bring down members of predominantly safe Republican districts.

Ryan said on the call, according to another individual present on the line that:

“You all need to do what’s best for you in your district…”

This comes the morning after the second presidential debate, where Trump failed to display any solid ideas on how to address major issues in the American system.

Ryan’s “encouragement to his members to break with Trump” has been said to show how horrendous the situation has become in regard to the GOP.

Many of Republicans, most of whom are at the top of the party:

“…Have officially dumped Trump since Friday.”

Pussy Gate

Most of those who have broken ties with Trump have done so since a video was released on Friday. In the video, Trump discusses his inability to control his sexual urges around beautiful women.

Trump claimed that this fame allowed him to grab women “by the pussy.” According to the NY Daily News:

“That video led Ryan to uninvite Trump from a campaign event in his state over the weekend, ending Trump’s chances of stumping with the speaker this election.”

According to AshLee Strong, Ryan’s spokeswoman,

“The speaker is going to spend the next month focused entirely on protecting our congressional majorities.”
