WATCH: Trump Calls Minnesotans’ Kindness ‘Suffering’ – Vows To Deport Welcomed Refugees

Republican Presidential Nominee Donald Trump pandered to a large Minnesota crowd on Sunday. He vowed to stop the Syrian Refugee Program:

“Here in Minnesota you have seen firsthand the problems caused with faulty refugee vetting, with large numbers of Somali refugees coming into your state, without your knowledge, without your support or approval.”

Minnesota has been home to thousands of Somalis for several decades, which prompted the Minneapolis City Council to mark July 1 Somali American Day. The majority of Somalis are Sunni Muslim.

Trump’s vow to suspend the Syrian Refugee Program is a promise. He said:

You’ve suffered enough in Minnesota.”

The program helps citizens caught in the middle of a violent civil war, but the promise has drawn in thousands of primarily white supporters.

Muslims in Minnesota

One of his biggest selling points has been to eliminate terrorist threats. His plan would include building a wall between the United States and Mexico, thereby securing our border:

Deporting all undocumented workers:

“We’re going to have a deportation force.”

Plus, ending the Syrian Refugee Program, which is an idea that has been supported by his son Donald Trump, Jr.:

Fueling Islamophobia

Trump has fueled a fear of Muslims since he first announced his candidacy. Back in December of last year, he suggested retaliation on the families’ of terrorists:

“And the other thing with these terrorists, you have to take out their families. When you get these terrorists, you have to take out their families.”

When asked about keeping track of all Muslims within the U.S., Trump said he would ‘certainly implement‘ a tracking program. He even asked Muslims to report on what they see during the second presidential debate, saying:

We have to be sure that Muslims come in and report when they see something going on. When they see hatred going on, they have to report it.”
