WATCH: NOW It’s Time To Stop Whining About The Election And FIGHT

As Liberals, we obviously disagree with right-wing extremists. Unfortunately, America decided to elect a reality TV show front man with bigoted, extremist followers to the presidency. There is one faction of the extreme right who is particularly deplorable who is more than happy to do President-elect Donald Trump’s bidding, and that is the “Tea Party.”

Many of the Tea Party extremists claim that we on the left are extreme.

What Is The Tea Party?

The Tea Party is a right-wing extremist group that sprouted up after President Barack Obama was elected in 2008.

Here are their “core beliefs” from their website:

“1. Illegal aliens are here illegally.
2. Pro-domestic employment is indispensable.
3. A strong military is essential.
4. Special interests must be eliminated.
5. Gun ownership is sacred.
6. Government must be downsized.
7. The national budget must be balanced.
8. Deficit spending must end.
9. Bailout and stimulus plans are illegal.
10. Reducing personal income taxes is a must.
11. Reducing business income taxes is mandatory.
12. Political offices must be available to average citizens.
13. Intrusive government must be stopped.
14. English as our core language is required.
15. Traditional family values are encouraged.”

What Is The “Tea Party Of The Left?”

After the disappointing presidential election and the protests that ensued, many people who supported Bernie Sanders are trying to form a “Tea Party Of The Left.”

The people who are upset over Trump’s election are coming together. Moumita Ahmed, who worked with the Millennials for Bernie group, is now creating a million Millennial march against racism and xenophobia. She said:

“People are upset right now … People don’t want to march for progress. They want to march because they’re angry about the electoral college, they’re upset with Americans who think it’s OK for someone who campaigned with anti-gay, anti-Muslim rhetoric to now be president … You’re probably going to see some sort of actual Tea Party of the left.”

We are angry that we have lost all branches of government, and we are scared for our policies and entitlements, and this doesn’t just include food stamps, but Medicare, Medicaid, SSD, SSI, Head Start, Job Training, Housing Assistance, LIHEAP, tax programs, and much more.

Any program that receives money from the federal government is in trouble, but a full 55 percent of spending is on government Safety Net programs, and they help not just the poor, but families with incomes of up to $75k and change per year. More for some programs.

Do We Need A ‘Tea Party’ On The Left?

Now, we on the left side need to stand up to the tyranny of a Republican government. We need to focus on the mid-term elections and vote out all of the Republicans.

We on the left need to organize and fight against the policies of the right. We need to protect our civil liberties, our healthcare, and everything else that the Republicans want to take from us.

The name may be off-putting, but the message is still true.
