BREAKING: Alabama Senator Who Said ‘KKK Are OK’ To Be NEXT Attorney General (TWEET/VIDEO)

President-elect Donald Trump has named Alabama Senator Jeff Beauregard Sessions to be the next attorney general of the United States.

Sessions has been an outspoken fan of Trump’s “immigration” plans, which is to say that he likely wants to rid the country of undocumented people of any shade of color other than lily white.

The Alabama senator also brings with him to the job, a past riddled with anti-LGBT and racist overtones.

For example, Sessions said of the KKK during a 1981 murder investigation that he:

“Used to think they were OK.”

That is until he discovered that they were “pot smokers.” Of course later he said he was just joking around. Because being a white guy from Alabama with the middle name “Beauregard” suggests that he would never actually think the KKK were an OK organization.

Twitter is already lighting up with anger and angst. George Takei tweeted the following:

And Republican strategist Ana Navarro had this reaction:

Sessions is on record calling the Voting Rights Act of 1965 a “piece of intrusive legislation.” And while we’re on the topic of legislation, a quick review of Sessions’ positions reveals him to be just what you would expect in Trump’s kakistocracy.

In 2013, Sessions voted “no” on reauthorizing the Violence Against Women Act.

In 2006, Sessions voted “yes” on a proposed constitutional ban of same-sex couples being able to get legally married.

In 2000 and again in 2002, he voted “no” on adding sexual orientation to the definition of what constitutes a hate crime.

Here’s an archived video of Sessions addressing the senate over his fears that gay people would one day be able to get married.
