WATCH: Barney Frank Drops Truth Bomb – Scalia Advocated ‘F*g Burning’

The media was abuzz yesterday with discussion of President-elect Donald Trump’s suggestion of unconstitutional punishments for people who burn the American flag. Former Representative Barney Frank (D-Mass.) appeared on Hardball with Chris Matthews and made his own feelings about the situation, and especially about the late Justice Antonin Scalia, quite clear.

Justice Antonin Scalia Called Flag Burning A ‘Form Of Expression’

Proving that old broken clock saying is true, Scalia was correct in his ruling on burning American flags. You may find it distasteful or offensive, but it’s perfectly legal to do it.

Trump has praised Scalia time and again, promising to appoint a Supreme Court justice “in the mold” of the late judge.

Though Scalia’s ruling on flag burning was correct, the fact remains that he was disgustingly anti-LGBT in his opinions.

And former Representative Barney Frank, who is openly gay, wanted to make sure that part of Scalia was remembered.

Frank Shocks Panel With Statement About Scalia

Frank called Trump’s insane Twitter rants a “calculated strategy” before then saying:

“Scalia wrote the opinion, he was very strongly on the other side of [flag burning], and [Trump] cited Scalia as his favorite justice. I think there was a pronunciation problem there. You know, Scalia was actually the leading advocate of fag burning, not flag burning.”

Chris Matthews immediately erupted in laughter before saying, halfheartedly, “That’s not, that’s not funny.” Michael Steele, former chairman of the Republican National Committee, is seen shaking his head (though smiling and laughing) in the split-screen view.

Yea, things get tense when someone tells the truth. Frank is done with public office and thus has the freedom to say whatever he wants. It’s refreshing, really.
