What separates us from them? What is it that makes liberal sensibilities so at odds with those of a conservative?

As President Donald Trump embraces the global drive to replace post-war liberalism with 21st-century fascism we’re left with a disturbing conundrum.
What would it take for his ardent supporters to admit they made a mistake? How far would he have to go before they realize that the emperor is wearing no clothes?
His attack on the concept of no religious test has proven that they owe no allegiance to the constitution. His hot-mike pussy grab revelations revealed their sexual morality hysteria for the bullshit posturing it is.
Even the flag, a symbol of quasi-masturbatory significance to some GOP faithful no longer holds sway. Because they love their leader.
In much the same way that puppies enjoy ingesting turds.
So, who gives a fuck if he’s on Putin’s payroll? He’s going to make America great again!
Right?
They are now so dick-deep in the cult of personality that only individual attacks stand any chance of shaking them loose. Perhaps if Trump appeared in their living rooms spitting camel piss in their face while the FBI filled cavities with ballistic gel and played at being Mythbusters for a couple of hours?
Maybe then.
But the president’s time is precious. He’ll go after them all right. But he’ll do it via the coast that erodes as he ignores climate change; by the health insurance that offers no protection from the post-EPA toxic sludge they’ve been drinking.
Their wages, job security, civil liberties and natural born rights.
He’ll take them too.
And as they lie in the grass, their bellies denuded of vital ‘sausage’ from the Gestapo beating they just took, they will look up at the sky and croak three words.

What would it take?
Half the country seems to be on board with the idea of banning refugees.
They have become so fearful of terrorism that they have lost all sense of perspective, have willfully dry wiped their ass on the Constitution and flushed it down the drain.
Parachuting is more dangerous, taking a bath is more dangerous, eating food is more dangerous. And that’s just the choking hazard!
Obesity killed 374, 000 Americans in 2016, Muslim- American extremism, just 54. And yet you try to convince conservatives to do something to regulate the food industry and they’ll start screaming ‘Big Government!’ loud enough to wake Grandma in the trailer next door.
So what’s it going to take?
What about eye contact with a seven-year-old refugee?

Childsplaining
Trump hasn’t as of yet responded. That’s probably a good thing.
I don’t think America could take him tweeting an insult back at a little girl.
We all know the answer to the actual question anyway. Far from being a man of the people, Donald Trump is a spoiled brat whose business success rests solely on opportunities given him by his rich daddy. His homes are paved with gold, his sheets are made of the finest silk.
He’s probably never even made himself a slice of toast.
Looking at his side profile, it’s safe to say he’s never gone hungry,
So perhaps it will fall on deaf ears, perhaps Trump is so safe and snug in his ivory tower that such words will never reach him.
And yet one thing cannot be denied. Conservative, libertarian, liberal, whatever. We’re all human, we are all capable of the same suite of human emotions. Which is why such a video is important.
Which is why you should share it and not just with your liberal friends either.
And if the plea of a little girl who has known what real hunger and thirst feels like does not move them to reconsider their position.
Then seriously, sincerely.
Fuck those guys, write them off.
Because they have lost themselves in a world of echoed ideology.
