8 Things That Kill More People Than Immigrants And Refugees (IMAGES)

Let’s put this in perspective, shall we?

Donald Trump claims the ban is for “national security,” but that is nothing more than an alternative fact. In reality, refugees have caused zero deaths of Americans on U.S. soil. The CATO Institute reports the chances of an American dying in a terrorist attack committed by a refugee to be one in 3.6 billion.

About 100 Americans die from bee stings annually, according to the Boston Children’s Hospital. The United States should consider building a wall to keep the bees out, although it is still unknown how high it would need to be or how we could make the bees pay for it.

Roller Coasters

According to the journal Injury Prevention, 4 deaths each year are caused by roller coasters. In some cases, these deaths are the result of injuries directly attributed to collisions or falls. In other cases, roller coasters allegedly exacerbated a rider’s pre-existing medical issue. None of these reports indicate a refugee was operating the roller coaster rides in question.

Hot Dogs

The journal Pediatrics reports that more than 13 children die each year from choking on hot dogs. Strangely, the United States Herpetoculture Alliance points out this is a far greater number than the one annual death attributed to captive reptiles. Stranger still, the USHA does not seem to mention that this number is still higher than the number of deaths attributed to refugees, which remains at zero.

Lightning Strikes

The National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration reports just 38 U.S. deaths by lightning strikes in 2016, a number that exceeds U.S. deaths by refugees in the same year by 38. At this time, the Trump Administration has not announced any intention to shut down NOAA or its parent organization, the Department of Commerce. Nor has there been any discussion of an atmospheric shield to protect citizens from these blatant attacks from above.

The mysterious website BlackFridayDeathCount.com reports a single Black Friday death in 2016 with 10 total since 2006. Needless to say, if you are concerned about refugees endangering your safety, you should stay home on this most holy of American holidays.

Vending Machines

The U.S. Consumer Products Safety Commission reported in 1995 that at least 37 deaths have been caused by vending machines since 1978. We don’t know what they have been up to since 1995, but we aim to find out if America is still under attack by these nefarious machines, whether foreign or domestic.

Pet dogs are responsible for 31 human deaths annually. There are no statistics regarding deaths when refugees are brought into a home with dogs, but we can safely say they do not exceed the zero total deaths reported so far.

Toddlers

Snopes.com reports that in 2015 at least two people were shot any killed by toddlers of 3 years old or younger. Sadly, in that same year, at least 13 toddlers fatally shot themselves.  It seems we should be more concerned with keeping guns away from our children than keeping refugees away from them.
