Wingnut Host Has Absurd Theory On Why Michael Flynn Was REALLY Pushed Out (AUDIO, TWEETS)

As most of us in the reality-based community know, Michael Flynn was forced to resign as national security adviser because he phoned the Russian ambassador to the United States and lied about what was discussed to both the White House and possibly the FBI. But if you listen to right-wing talk radio and watch right-leaning shows, you’ve probably heard that Flynn was dumped because of any number of conspiracies led by Democratic lawmakers and career government workers. By far the looniest explanation I’ve heard so far was proffered by religious right talk show host Rick Wiles. He thinks Flynn got dumped because of–wait for it–Pizzagate.

On Tuesday’s edition of “TruNews,” Wiles claimed that Flynn was cashiered because he knew the truth about the ridiculous and debunked conspiracy theory about Hillary Clinton and other prominent Democrats running a child sex ring being run out of several pizza joints in the capital–most notably Comet Ping Pong. People for the American Way’s Right Wing Watch got a clip.

Wiles claimed that Hillary herself bragged that she and her minions had claimed Flynn’s scalp because “you dared to talk about our filthy child molestation ring.” Apparently Wiles is referring to how Hillary trolled Flynn after his ouster. One of her campaign aides, Philippe Reines, remembered how Flynn’s son, Michael Jr., avidly promoted Pizzagate–a major reason why Junior lost his spot on the transition team.

Hillary wasted little time joining in.

Somehow, Wiles took this as a sign that Hillary was bragging that their “criminal cabal” of “devil-worshiping, Luciferian, demon-possessed maniacs” had cut Flynn off at the knees. Wiles claimed that while Flynn didn’t know the true depths of the Democrats’ depravity, he knew that they were involved in “child trafficking, child molestation, child rape, child murder” because everyone inside the Beltway knew what Hillary and friends were up to.

Wiles claimed that Flynn and others were aware of Pizzagate, and if “the average person” ever finds out about it, it would cause “mass vomiting” in American society. After all, Pizzagate has supposedly been underway for decades in one form or another, involving a succession of “demon-possessed rulers.” He claimed that many people, including Christians, “don’t know they’ve been voting for child molesters.” Supposedly, the conspiracy extends outside of government to “corporate board rooms,” and was particularly running rampant in Hollywood and in New York City. He argued that it was a “dark cancer” that needed to be removed from the country.

Uh huh. So Hillary and her cabal of child molesters somehow convinced the Russian ambassador to get in touch with Flynn. And they also convinced Mike Pence to buy Flynn’s initial explanation. That’s just scraping the surface of what you’d have to believe in order to buy into this nonsense about Flynn’s ouster being related to Pizzagate. But then again, this is what passes for news in the alternative universe created for alternative facts.
