WATCH: CPAC Organizer Tries To Paint ‘Alt-Right’ As A ‘Left-Wing Fascist’ Group

If there’s one thing conservatives are really, really good at, it’s rewriting history to suit their needs. You see, history has a known liberal bias, and they don’t like that. So they latch onto monikers and gaslight people into believing that conservatives have done good things in history. Of course, the facts tell a different story.

Yes, Lincoln was a Republican. But Lincoln was also in favor of a strong central government. The South, on the other hand, seceded for their “state’s rights.” Yes, the Democratic party in 1860 was the party of slavery. Conservatives also like to gloss over that whole pesky “Southern Strategy” thing that happened in the 1960s, which flipped the South to the Republican party.

And now they’re at it again.

Conservative are gathered by thousands in Maryland at the moment, cheering each other on in their echo chamber where up is down, black is white, and the alt-right is now a left-wing group.

CPAC organizer Dan Schneider spoke in front of the crowd and attempted another rewrite of history, saying:

“There is a sinister organization that is trying to worm its way into our ranks … Just a few years ago, this hate-filled, left-wing fascist group hijacked the very term alt-right. That term alt-right, it had been used for a very long time, in a very good and normal way. But this group has hijacked it — hijacked the term. And they did it intentionally, because they wanna deceive the media, and they wanna deceive you all about what they stand for, so they can try to become normalized, and we must not allow them to be normalized, because they are not part of us.

They stole the term specifically to confuse us. We know who these people are They met just a couple months ago in Washington, D.C. to spew their hatred and make their ‘Heil Hitler’ salutes. They are anti-Semites, they are racists, they are sexists … They are not an extension of conservatism … They are nothing but garden variety left-wing fascists.”

First of all, there’s no such thing as a “left-wing fascist.” Fascism is, by its literal dictionary definition, an extreme right-wing ideology.

But no one expects the mouth-breathers at CPAC to know that.

Secondly, Richard Spencer, an ACTUAL NAZI, coined the very term “alt-right.” So don’t go telling me that it was used in “a very good and normal way,” because it has never been a good thing.

And finally, yes, Mr. Schneider, the “alt-right” is definitely nasty, anti-Semitic, racist, and sexist. And it is most definitely representing your side now.
