Trump Delays State Visit To U.K. Amid Protests – Is He Scared? (TWEETS/VIDEO)

Americans would like to thank the rest of the world for joining us in resisting the new fascist. Especially our friends in the United Kingdom (U.K.), whose protests have caused President Donald Trump to reschedule his visit.

U.K. Resistance

Trump was supposed to visit the U.K. in June, but recently spoke with Prime Minister Theresa May and agreed to reschedule. They pushed the date to October with the hopes of the heated resistance dying down.

That’s not bloody likely.

During a three-hour session, several members of Parliament voiced a strong objection to his invitation. One compared him to protozoa while another said he acted like a ‘petulant child.’

It’s not just members of Parliament who never want to see his face in the U.K., though.

Nearly two million people signed a petition demanding Trump be barred from visiting, and about 2,000 people protested his Muslim travel ban in Parliament Square.

According to a senior government official in the U.K.:

“The White House watches what happens over here surprisingly closely, and they don’t want to create a scene for our sake either.”

The bad news is that Trump will still visit, but the good news is that our global resistance is working.

Avoiding Parliament

Despite all of the backlash, May and some members of Parliament believe that a retraction would only hurt their relationship with America. The exact dates of his visit are pretty interesting, though.

Trump will be there from October 5-8, which is right before Parliament returns from a break. That means no sessions will be held, during which members could once again compare him to a single celled amoeba and an annoying child.

He doesn’t like people pointing out his flaws, which is why we mustn’t stop now. Protest peacefully and show the world that Trump isn’t welcome in the U.K.
