Tourism Industry Takes Unexpected Hit From Trump’s Muslim Ban Because… Fear (VIDEO)

Whelp, we’ve done it, America. We elected an orange reality show loser for a president. President Donald Trump is screwing up everything he can get his hands on.

It is so bad that it is impacting America tourism. Many people are not wanting to come here because of President Trump.

One particular travel agency, Comfort Tours in New York City, used to see 200-300 tourists there in March. Now, the agency’s only seen 11.

Al Qanun, manager and part-owner of the travel agency, said:

“Even white, Anglo-Saxon people, who are most of our customers, they are afraid of crossing the border. They don’t want to end up in some prison.”

Ana Teran, a 68-year-old essayist and short-story writer from Mexico City, used to make three or four trips per year to the U.S. The last time she came here, she was detained for three hours before she was finally admitted. She is afraid to come again.

The number of reservations made to fly to the United States, which is used to measure tourism, has dropped since Trump’s first travel ban went into effect.

Approximately 38 percent of corporate travel professionals in Europe say they are avoiding our country. The travel website, Hopper, says that they have seen a slump as well.

Patrick Surry from Hopper said:

“We saw a really big dip and we’ve not fully recovered.”

A New York City tourism organization, NYC & Co, is launching a $3 million billboard and social media campaign to try and bring in new tourists.

Our policies impact how people perceive our country.

The first travel ban affected immigrants from these seven countries: Iran, Iraq, Sudan, Syria, Libya, Somalia and Yemen. Trump said the intent was to combat terrorism. He issued a revised version last week, but it is being challenged in the courts just like the first one was.
