Woman Beats And Robs Mother Of Girl Selling Girl Scout Cookies (VIDEO)

Proving that there truly are no lengths to which people will not go to get Girl Scout Cookies. A woman at the Powdersville Walmart in Anderson County, South Carolina, reportedly stole money from a Girl Scout selling cookies.

The woman came up the table to ask for a newer $1 bill, according to The Stateand stole the jar of money after paying $4 for the boxes of cookies. The woman selling cookies tried to retrieve the items, but was unsuccessful.

Other reports of the incident say that the girl was robbed at gunpoint.

One good thing that came out of the situation was the response of the police department. Upon hearing that the girl had been robbed and her money had been stolen, officers around the city collected donations to cover what she had lost.

Girl Scouts are not exactly strangers to this kind of conflict, with another thief in San Diego using stolen Girl Scout money to buy heroin on Craigslist.

It is regrettable to suggest, but perhaps the only way to make sure Girl Scouts stay safe from this kind of exploitation is to sell in groups, or to keep some mace or other self-defense measures close at hand.
