The loud mouthed conservative, Tomi Lahren, is striking back at Glen Beck and his “news” show, The Blaze, by filing a wrongful termination suit after he fired her for coming out as pro-choice on The View.
The Dallas Morning News reported that the Lahren filed the suit in Dallas County, Texas in an effort to seek retribution for her show’s demise. The suit states that Lahren was:
“..understandably disappointed, saddened and in shock for being suspended for freely expressing her opinions, which certainly reconcile with what is the law of the land in the United States i.e., a woman’s constitutional right to choose and in no way inconsistent with any of [Lahren’s] obligations under the Employment Contract.”
The comment heard round’ the world incited anger throughout the conservative community with some complaining about her inconsistencies, while other twisted words and said she was calling all conservatives hypocrites. On The View Lahren said:
“I can’t sit here and be a hypocrite and say I’m for limited government but I think the government should decide what women do with their bodies.”
According to Lahren, The Blaze had prior notice of her thoughts and feelings on abortion but never took any action, or said a word about it. Though, Lahren is currently still on the payroll, the court documents are pointing that they are only continuing to pay her to bide time to figure out how to get out of unlawfully cancelling her show. The Blaze made a statement saying:
“It is puzzling that an employee who remains under contract (and is still being paid) has sued us for being fired, especially when we continue to comply fully with the terms of our agreement with her.”
On top of attorney’s fees, costs, and relief, the order is also asking for a temporary restraining order that would keep The Blaze from destroying any evidence that could be used in this case.
This should start a nice little Twitter storm for Glen Beck later today. Get your popcorn ready folks.
