Ellen Degeneres is no friend of President Donald Trump. She told Matt Lauer that she will never have him on her show. When Lauer asked the question, she said:
“I’m not going to change his mind. He’s against everything that I stand for. We need to look at someone else who looks different than us and believes in something that we don’t believe in and still accept them and still let them have their rights.”
She said that she has not spoken to President Donald Trump since he ran for president or since he became president. She talked about working with him when he was on The Celebrity Apprentice.
Lauer has said about Trump:
“He doesn’t hate the media. As a matter of fact he’s one of the people I know who has over the years loved the media more than most people. But it’s just this kind of catchphrase, the ‘fake news’ and the ‘fake media.'”
This is not the first time Ellen has trolled President Trump on her show. Back in March, she had a 5-year-old geography “expert” on her show. He had drawn a map of all of the continents. He had drawn animals and things over the continents depending on what lives there. He drew Trump in Russia.

Ellen is also celebrating a big milestone this week. This week marks 20 years since she came out as gay on television. She talks about the letter she received (both good and bad). She said many people were inspired to come out because of her. In other cases, parents called their kids and told them it was okay to be gay. She also said there were many people who had attempted to or were thinking about taking their own lives and they decided not to. Go, Ellen!
