Senator Imposter Tried To Get Into Trump Tower To See Ivanka (VIDEO)

A man wearing a bulletproof vest and carrying two small knives was arrested at Trump Tower on late Thursday afternoon. He claimed to be a Senator there to see Ivanka Trump. The man, 52-year-old Sixto Benitez Adames, has been taken to a nearby hospital for a psychiatric evaluation. He faces charges of criminal possession of a weapon and possession of a forged instrument because he was carrying a fake New York State ID card. In addition to the knives, he was also carrying a sock with a weight in it.

Adames claimed to be a Senator there to talk to Ivanka Trump about her clothing line. He also claimed to own Trump Tower. Ivanka is away in Europe at the G-20 Summit with her father and was not in the building.

The NYPD’s deputy commissioner of public information told Newsweek:

“He was trying to meet with Ivanka Trump to discuss her dresses. He was discovered to be wearing a bullet-resistant vest …further investigation revealed he had a forged identification card.”

Ivanka Trump, first daughter and special assistant to the President, moved to Washington, D.C., with her husband and children shortly after her father won the 2016 presidential election.

The Trump family’s security has caused quite a controversy during the first few months of the Trump administration. First lady Melania Trump kept living at Trump Tower until just recently. The residents of New York petitioned to have her move to the White House, which would’ve saved the city millions of dollars a day in Secret Service and other security costs for her and their 11-year-old son Barron Trump.

Congress has allocated $120 million to take care of the Trump family’s security services. An additional $60 million has been allocated to take care of the Trumps in other locations that they frequent such as New York City and Palm Beach County, Florida.
