Bette Midler Blasts Clueless Rick Perry After He Confuses Supply And Demand (VIDEO)

Governor of Texas and Secretary of Energy Rick Perry has hit the headlines and for all the wrong reasons. Not only was he delivering a talk promoting coal, he managed to confuse supply and demand.

A year 9 economics student may have fared better. Perry said:

“Here’s a little economics lesson: supply and demand. You put the supply out there and the demand will follow,”

Besides having it totally the wrong way around, Perry is trying to sell coal. He is saying they are going to put coal out there so that people will use it. This is so frustrating!

Coal is a fossil fuel, a dirty fuel. Yet here we have a man with great power telling us it is the way to go. Not long ago President Donald Trump said in a speech that coal was ‘clean and beautiful.’ This is all wrong! We are moving in the wrong direction and it is dangerous.

After showing both his economic and climate change are wanting, Perry was ridiculed on Twitter, by none other than famed singer and entertainer Bette Midler. She quipped:

Bette Midler has been a constant and funny critic of the Trump administration and her observations have kept many of us sane during this time of some crazy policy.

Rick Perry and this whole government is putting the world in more danger from devastating climate change.

We need to be taking drastic action in the realm of climate change science and here they are taking us back to coal.

German Chancellor’s Angela Merkel’s husband recently invited First Lady Melania and his daughter Ivanka to a climate change center, while in Germany for the G20 summit. This is because it is a global problem and everyone is concerned by these backward policies. Trump pulling out of the Paris Climate Accord shows us his total disregard for climate science.
