Ivana Calls Herself ‘First Lady’ During Interview, Melania Not About It (VIDEO)

Here’s a nice little piece of soap opera drama that doesn’t involve nuclear weapons: a little spat between First Lady Melania Trump and the President’s first wife, Ivana. Ivana is currently on a book tour promoting her memoir “Raising Trump” about her years of marriage to Donald, and it seems that Donald could learn a thing or two about good press from his ex. In an interview with Good Morning America, Ivana says that she talks with the President frequently.

“[We] talk about once every 14 days. I have the direct number to White House, I [don’t] really want to call him there, because Melania is there… And I don’t want to cause any kind of jealousy or something like that, because I’m basically first Trump wife. OK? I’m first lady.”

She was laughing when she said it, clearly trying to make a joke and not really suggesting that she’s First Lady of the United States. But Melania really seemed to have her feathers ruffled by this little statement and responded in the petulant way her husband probably would have approved of. She released a statement that reads:

“Mrs. Trump has made the White House a home for Barron and the president. She loves living in Washington, DC, and is honored by her role as first lady of the United States. She plans to use her title and role to help children, not sell books. There is clearly no substance to this statement from an ex, this is unfortunately only attention-seeking and self-serving noise.”

Um, and exactly what is it that your husband is trying to do, Melania? You know what, Ivana was married to Donald for 15 years, I think she deserves to make a little cash off him considering what he likely put her through. That’s capitalism, baby. My favorite part of the interview is when she said that he shouldn’t talk so much.
