Remember all those times Donald Trump promised that if he was elected president, he’d make sure everyone said Merry Christmas instead of Happy Holidays? Well, now that he’s the latest resident at the White House, Trump and First Lady Melania have gone BIG for their first Christmas in Washington, D.C.
On Monday, Mrs. Trump showed the public how the White House has been decorated for the holiday, and overall the look is classic, though a bit ostentatious at times.
But there’s one chamber which features a hallway lined with twigs and white lights that has some comparing it to scenes from Game of Thrones and the classic Stanley Kubrick horror film The Shining. Here’s the hallway:

Looks more like Halloween than Christmas, doesn’t it? Do they perform the human sacrifices in front of the tree at the far end of the hall?
Here are some of the incredibly funny takes on the spooky chamber:

New Year’s Eve should be a real blast, too. Is Melania planning to recreate a scene from The Great Gatsby? Or will she opt for a more postmodern vibe, a la A Clockwork Orange?
