At Sunday’s Super Bowl, Latina singers and entertainers Shakira and Jennifer Lopez wowed the world with a stunning and age-defying performance. J-Lo is 50 and Shakira is 43 and the ladies brought it home exactly the same as they did when they were in the 20s.

The Symbolism Behind Shakira and J-Lo’s Halftime Show
The show featured some of the best music ever made by Latina women, but it also highlighted important issues. For example, it depicted cages with children in them, an obvious message to those who aren’t speaking out against the immigrant children who are being caged at the border.

One of the children in a cage was Jennifer Lopez’s 11-year-old daughter, Emme Maribel Muñiz, who we all now know if a talented singer in her own right.
And when J-Lo reminded everyone that Puerto Ricans are U.S. citizens.

Conservative Twitter Reaction to Super Bowl Halftime Show
As you could have expected, seeing two sexy Latinas dancing and singing was more than conservative Twitter could handle. The crowd who is totes OK with the president’s wife being a nude soft-porn model objected strongly to Shakira and J-Lo.
The world’s biggest hypocrite, Franklin Graham, had this to say.
“I don’t expect the world to act like the church, but our country has had a sense of moral decency on prime time television in order to protect children. We see that disappearing before our eyes. It was demonstrated tonight in the Pepsi Super Bowl Halftime Show—with millions of children watching. This exhibition was Pepsi showing young girls that sexual exploitation of women is okay. With the exploitation of women on the rise worldwide, instead of lowering the standard, we as a society should be raising it. I’m disappointed in Pepsi and the NFL.”
